Nuh-uh.

Talbots is having their annual fall sale. When Talbots has a sale, I go shopping. Early, and often. Hey, its right outside my office door and makes it really easy to keep the wardrobe updated.

I was mulling about in the skirt section and had picked out a brown wool skirt I was fond of. One of the sales women came over to see if I needed a fitting room. Now,the sales reps at Talbots are friendly and helpful, which is great because they get to know you and can point you to things in your style quickly. In this case, friendly and helpful resulted in the following conversation:

SR: "Isn't that a fabulous skirt?"
ME: "Yup."
SR: "Would you like to try it on?"
ME: "Yup." (the sales rep proceeds to take the skirt)
SR: (Starts walking and stops abruptly, her face twisting into a look of odd horror) "This is WAY too big for you! We should get you a smaller size."
ME: (Grinning, cause that's nice to hear) "It's the same size as the skirt (from Talbots) I have on."
SR: "NO!"
ME: "Yup."
SR: "NO!"
ME: "Yup."
SR: "Really? Are you sure?"
ME: "Yup."

The conversation ended with me getting half undressed in Talbots to show the sales rep the tag on the skirt I was wearing. I think I'll take the whole incident as a compliment :)
